Above All State Park

The former site of a Semi-Automatic Ground Environment (SAGE) air defense network, Above All State Park is now a quiet, secluded place for hikers to explore.

History

SAGE operated from the 1950s until dismantled in the 1980s. The base at Above All State Park provided North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) with a place to test their tracking and intercepting systems. An abandoned SAGE building remains on the property, but is nothing more than a roof and four walls.
