Location

Dennis Hill State Park is conveniently located off of Route 272 in Norfolk, Connecticut. A small parking lot at the entrance of the park is available for cars and campers. Except for a few weekends in the month of October, cars are not permitted within the preserve, so plan on several miles of walking to see the sights of Dennis Hill.

Activities

The greatest joy of visiting Dennis Hill is to witness the breathtaking views from the park's summits. In clear weather, you can even see as far as New Hampshire! The scenery is magnificent all year round, from the changing foliage of autumn to the flowers and blossoms of mid-summer. Explore the sprawling estate at your leisure and take a moment to peruse a few documents and letters from Dr. Dennis himself when you come across the park's signature pavilion. The estate's original stone entrance is an attraction in itself; once you are inside, enjoy a charming tree-lined path that welcomes you to the park. There are plenty of picnic tables available within the premises, and leashed pets are permitted to join their owners in every season.
